Margaret Beattie 1866 by Hands Across the Sea Samplers

Margaret stitched this beautiful Scottish sampler when she was 12 years old.  It is worked mainly in cross stitch over two threads of linen, with the text being worked in cross stitch over 1 strand of linen.
