The Story Behind “Chicken and Waffles.”
Chicken and Waffles was designed for my friends, Hannah and Kim. Hannah is the proud mom of Waffles the donkey, and one day, she asked me to create a cross stitch chart featuring her. During one of our stitch group gatherings, the conversation turned to Kim’s chickens—and that’s when inspiration struck. We laughed about the name “Chicken and Waffles,” and from that moment, the idea for this whimsical design was born. This pattern is a tribute to friendship, shared laughter, and the special bond we stitchers share. It’s a little piece of our story, captured in thread.
